Silk Wool

How does material (e.g. silk, wool, polyester) affect ties? Which makes it easy to clean, easy to wear? Tips?

I'm trying to pick out ties but since none of my friends wear ties on a regular basis, they're helpless. From what I've read, it seems that ties are popularly made of silk and polyester. Is there any reason why somebody would want to choose ties of one material over another?

Ties are more comfortable if made of silk. Polyester too has a smooth feeling. Wool is warm and great if you're going to be outside but not so great if you're inside. Silk ties look better than the rest and they tie easier.

Guar gum is a polysacharide a long chain made of sugars made of the sugars galactose and mannose. Some other familiar polysacharides are starch and cellulose, which is made of long chains of the sugar glucose. Guar gum comes from the endosperm of the seed of the legume plant Cyamopsis tetragonolobus. Cyamopsis tetragonolobus is an annual plant, grown in arid regions of India as a food crop for animals.

Textile Gum - Guar Gum supports tremendous film forming and thickening properties when used for textile sizing, finishing and printing. Guar Gum reduces warp breakage, dusting while sizing and provides enhanced effectiveness in manufacture. Produced derivatives of textile printing thickener is based on guar gum, tamarind, corn starch and tapioca starch for different type of dyes, fabrics and textile printing applications.

Tailor made textile gum are supported for specific requirement of the customer in line with printing of polyester and its blends with disperse dyes, color enhancer for printing of disperse dyes, for discharge with stannous chloride and burn out printing, for direct printing as well as discharge printing of silk, wool and nylon, for vat discharge, for reactive dyes printing on cotton and for acrylic blanket and carpet printing.

Food Gum - Guar used as a thickener and texture modifier in the food industry. Guar Gum is an important ingredient in producing food emulsifier, food additive, food thickener and other guar gum products. Gum technology stabilizers are carefully controlled blends of various food ingredients. These food gum are mostly natural vegetable gums which come from sources such as seeds, plant exudates and marine plants. Guar imparts viscosity and water binding capacity even at low usage levels, it is used in applications as diverse as cottage cheese, sauces, soups, and frozen desserts.

Oil Well Drilling - Guar Gum as a Viscosifier is extensively utilized in oil well drilling due to its multi-functions such as water loss control, viscosity control, friction reduction, lubricants and cooling of the drill bits. Guar Gum is advantageous in oil well drilling muds, gives a better colloid thereby reducing water losses. It regulates the viscosity of mud solution, stabilizes and regulates the flow properties of the drilling muds. Moreover, in explosive guar develops and maintains resistance to water aging in explosive gels. Guar Gum increases viscosities while the process of transition metal ions, increases viscosity. It also works as a thickening agent in blasting slurry and for explosive mixture.

Guar Gum For Cosmetics - Guar gum is nowadays processed and is available in the form of guar gum powder in special viscosities. This guar gum powder is widely used in order to serve as thickener in cosmetics. Cosmetics generally contain synthetics that can be harmful to skin. Guar gum powder can be used with safety in cosmetics.

Guar Gum For Pharmaceuticals – Guar gum with emulsifying property reacts chemically with both oil and water and thus stabilizes oil in water. By this characteristics, guar gum emulsifier is mostly used in making detergent, soap, and grease for the reason of cleaning and even in pharmacy to prepare creams and lotions.

Guar Gum for Paper Industry - Guar gum is used in paper manufacture as a better additive. Guar Gum gives denser surface to the paper used for printing. Guar gum imparts improved erasive and writing properties, better bonding strength and increased hardness. Due to improved adhesion, it gives better breaking, Mullen and folding strengths.
